SpaceWire Physical Layer Tester
Please note that we have limited stock of the SpaceWire Physical Layer Tester and are unable to manufacture more once current stock is depleted.
The SpaceWire Physical Layer Tester (SPLT) is a tool designed to test, validate and verify a SpaceWire system across all levels of the SpaceWire standard. Two SpaceWire ports employ a special LVDS interface which allows the transmitted signals to be deliberately and measurably manipulated to test the capability of a unit under test to receive signals of varying quality.
The SPLT SpaceWire drivers offer full, independent control of LVDS common-mode and amplitude for data and strobe pairs, and additional manipulation of skew and jitter characteristics can be introduced between data-strobe and in-pair.
To facilitate acquisition of an eye-diagram, the analogue LVDS signals received on these ports are buffered onto external connectors for easy interfacing to an oscilloscope.

Product Features
Physical Layer Test Ports: Two special LVDS interface SpaceWire ports facilitate the manipulation of the Physical Layer characteristics.
Skew: 0 ns to +/- 8 ns in steps of approximately 0.01 ns
Jitter: 0 ns to 1 ns in steps of approximately 0.01 ns (Experimental)
Swing: 0 V to 320 mV in steps of approximately 0.01 V
Common-mode voltage: 20 mV to 2.9 V in steps of approximately 0.01 V
Slew: 8 steps of slew available to select for the LVDS outputs (Experimental)
In built calibration: The SPLT includes calibration software to simplify user calibration of the unit prior to testing
Buffering of signals received at Physical Layer Test Ports: The LVDS + and LVDS – signals from the data and strobe signals of each physical layer test port are buffered onto SMA connectors for direct connection to an oscilloscope providing close representation of the signals at the receiver inputs.
